- What is Freshbid?

Freshbid is a business to business community classified site. You can use this site to post and find fruit and vegetables.
- Does Freshbid offer any type of mediation between buyers and sellers?
- Answer:
Freshbid is a local platform to connect buyers and sellers. All transactions and the details of the transactions are completed between the two parties. At no time does FreshBid get involved in these details or the transaction itself. We do not offer any types of verification of who a person is. If you have any questions or concerns about a transaction please contact the other party and do your best to resolve the situation between the two of you. If you feel you have been defrauded, contact your apropriate authorities.
- What recourse do I have if my transaction has gone bad or if I have been defrauded?
- Answer:
If you feel that your transaction with another Freshbid user has gone bad or you have been cheated by a fraudulent item on the site, please contact us about it. If appropriate, you should contact your appropriate authorities.
- Do I have to register to list an Item?
- Answer:
Yes, you need to register and open an account to list an item on FreshBid. It is easy; simply follow the instructions on the registration page.
- Do I have to register to search an item?
- Answer:
No, you could search an item even though you are not registered with us. However, to contact the seller or buyer for the item, you need to register first.
- How do I post an item on FreshBid?
- Answer:
Posting an item is easy, and there is no charge if your Item is not displayed on FreshBid. To post an item, simply follow the instructions below:
- *Log in to Freshid;
- *Choose "My Freshbid";
- *Choose "Sell Offers" or "Buy Offers" menu;
- *Click on the "Add New Sell Offers" or "Add New Buy Offers" button;
- *Fill in the information for your item and "Submit".
- How can I Include images in my item?
- Answer:
When you are on the "Add Inventory" or "Edit Inventory" page, click the "Browse..." button which appears at the "Product Pictures" column. Select a picture file from your computer's hard disk and click "Open". The picture will then be uploaded and attached to your item. Remember that a picture is worth a thousand words, so including one with your item will increase your chance of getting several replies.
- Can I use HTML tags or URLs in my Item?
- Answer:
FreshBid does not allow HTML or linkable URLs in items on the site. Please do not use them when you create your item’s description.
- How can I increase the chance of getting a good response to my items?
- Answer:
To increase the chance of getting a good response, follow these simple tips:
- * Include a picture for your items.
- * Make the title and description as detailed as possible.
- * If you are flexible on price, state that you will accept "best offer".
- * Make it easy for buyer to pick up the items; let them know where the items are located and when you will be available.
- * List your Items in the Featured Items section.
- * Tell your buyers / sellers about Freshbid. The more people who use Freshbid, the more responses you'll get!
- Why am I getting an error about banned words when I try to post a new item?
- Answer:
First make sure the contents of your item do not violate our Rules for Listing. If your items do not violate our posting policy, then check your items and eliminate potentially offensive language. If you are still having trouble, contact us with the title and description of your items and we will help you identify and remove the banned words.
- How long do Items last on the site?
- Answer:
Items are automatically removed from the site 72 hours after being posted. You can however remove your Item from the site at any time or repost it after it is expired.
- Why was my item(s) removed from the site?
- Answer:
There are several reasons why an item may have been removed from the site including:
- * The item expired automatically after 72 hours of being posted.
- * The Item violated our Rules for Listing.
- * Users flagged the Item as being spam or offensive.
- How can I edit, repost or delete my Items from the site?
- Answer:
Sign in and follow the "Sell Offers" or "Buy Offers" link to edit or delete your Items.
- How can I report any scam emails I receive?
- Answer:
If you get any suspicious emails from FreshBid users, please forward them to FreshBid support address at support@freshbid.com immediately. Remember that the best protection from scams is to read the feedback of the buyers / sellers. Furthermore, as always, if something sounds too good to be true, then it probably is a scam mail.
- Are items screened before they are posted on the site?
- Answer:
Unfortunately, we can't manually screen items since we get thousands of items posted on the site each day. If you see an item that looks to be Spam, Offensive, Miscategorized, or Illegal, please contact us.
- What should I do if I see an Item that I think is spam, offensive, miscategorized or illegal?
- Answer:
If you see an item which you think is illegal, prohibited or otherwise a bad fit for the FreshBid site, please report it by clicking on the support link found near the bottom of an Item's page. Please be sure to include the Item number and description whenever you contact us.
- What are Freshbid Alerts and how can I use them?
- Answer:
Freshbid Alert is an email notification service, where Freshbid users can have the newest posted items sent to your email address. Alerts can be created for all Items posted in a category or you can create your own customized Alert by entering a keyword search.
- How do I create an alert?
- Answer:
Sign in and follow the "My Search Alerts" menu to add, edit or delete an alert.
- How many alerts can I create?
- Answer:
You can have up to 50 active alerts. To create more alerts, you will first need to unsubscribe from an existing active alert.
- How can I unsubscribe from an alert?
- Answer:
Sign in to Freshbid and delete an altert by follwing the "My Search Alerts" menu.
- How often will I receive the alerts?
- Answer:
When you create an alert you will receive a notice each time a new product matching the criteria of your alert is posted on FreshBid.
- How many items are sent in each alert?
- Answer:
Each alert message will refer to 1 item.
Member Registration
- How can I register with Freshbid?
- Answer:
It is fairly simple to register with Freshbid. Go to the registration page, fill in the information as requested. Once you submit your information, an email will be sent to your email address that you just completed. Confirm your registration by clicking on the link in this email, and you are registered to Freshbid.
- Why have I not received a confirmation email?
- Answer:
If you have not received your confirmation email, first check any "Bulk" or "Junk" email folders in your mailbox to see if the confirmation email from FreshBid was sent there. If you still can't find the email, please contact us.
Payment
- What type of payment method can I use?
- Answer:
PayPal, Credit Card or Checks.
- Where can I see my balance?
- Answer:
You can go any time to "My Freshbid" menu where you can press the "View Balance" link.
- What fees I need to pay as a Freshbid member?
- Answer:
There is no fee for Freshbid membership. However, you do need to pay for the displays of your products.
Uploading your Inventory: It's free; you can upload as many items as you wish.
Display fee: If an item from your inventory is displayed, your cost will be $0.25; you are charged only once per user seeing your product within a 24 hours cycle.
The simple example below will help you understand how it works:
Ex.:If a user search for a product and your product is displayed, you will be charged $0.25. Later,if this same user keeps searching and your same product is displayed again, you are not charged again unless 24 hours pass.
You can review your fees at any time; login and follow the menu: MyFreshbid->Product Stats.
Note: In order to display your items you must have enough funds. However, you are still able to upload your inventory even if your account balance is zero.

- What are "cookies" and why must they be enabled?

"Cookies" are small bits of text stored on your computer that are sent to our web site to identify you from other visitors. We use cookies for a variety of purposes such as remembering what city you live in, storing your watched Item’s, remembering your preferences and more. - How do I report a bug I've encountered with the site?

If you encounter a bug when using FreshBid, please contact us and tell us:
- * The web page address that the bug occurred on;
- * Anything you did that could have caused the bug.
